Each session runs from 09.30 - 12.30 and from 13.00 to 16.00 hrs.
'Fine Flower Work', the lace which our second Queen, the wife of Léopold II, thought so beautiful that it was named after her. 'Fine Flower Work' is honoured with the name “Duchesse”. It is a part lace. The small flowers are very stylised and linked by plaits.
This lace was made in both Bruges and Brussels. The main difference is that Bruges Duchesse is made exclusively in bobbin lace whereas Brussels Duchesse has a medallion in needle lace, which makes it a mixed lace.
