If learning to make bobbin lace was ever on your bucket list, this course is perhaps for you!
Here you can completely immerse yourself in learning to make Torchon Lace using the Bruges international colour code, which is used throughout the world.
Making bobbin lace and the colour code are taught step by step so that you will have completely mastered the basics at the end of the course.
Some examples of items covered in the course:
- the basic stitches,
- pin after 2, pin after 4,
- setting up with plaits,
- the different grounds,
- diamonds,
- zig-zag trails,
- spiders, and more.
Everyone will work at their own pace and level.
On Friday afternoon Katelijne Debaene gives an introduction to working diagrams to give you better insight into how to read a pattern.
After the course you will be able to make simple laces by yourself.
