More information:
Our Bruges Binche is a fine, continuous lace which has a very mysterious look thanks to a diffuse mix of countless different grounds. In this workshop, our main aim is to work together on the Bruges Binche "project": maintenance of traditional techniques, development of knowledge and design and elaboration of ideas into new laces. For beginners as well as advanced students.
● The aim is to pass on the techniques - designing and working - of our Bruges Binche to future Binche lovers.
● In addition, we want to bring together the knowledge of the more experienced lace makers and designers in projects: maybe you want to start on one idea or another project which has been in the cupboard for so long? For example, it might be a Binche lace which you have always wanted to work with your bobbins or an idea for a design.
● For less experienced lovers of Binche, there are also plenty of challenges during this first series of workshops. A design idea which uses all the simple grounds with their variations. Everyone is free to work at their own pace in achieving their project.
It is a workshop where everyone's level is respected so that the execution of their own design will lead to a beautiful result: a Binche lace with your personality worked into it.
