More information: This year it is again possible to take a summer course in Mechlin lace.
There are two courses; you can choose between a group of beginners/advanced learners or a masterclass including advanced learners.
For the beginners we begin by discussing the origin, characteristics so typical of Mechlin lace and the techniques used in it. You will learn to apply these techniques on small pieces of Mechlin. Gradually they will become more difficult and the challenge will grow.
For advanced learners it is also possible to create your own lace design and working diagram with supervision and to work it. We will examine together whether this can be worked in Mechlin lace. It is very enriching and pleasant to work on the design you like. Do you prefer working with bobbins to designing? In this case, you will be spoilt for choice: you can choose a pricking in a given theme so that you can get to work.
