Annie found inspiration on her travels in Ecuador where she undertakes volunteer work. Ecuador lies right on the Equator and, due to its unique geographic situation, it has a wealth of colours both in flora and fauna and in minerals and precious stones.

This magnificent book presents 9 patterns to work in bobbin lace in the intense, warm colours which can be found in all aspects of Ecuador .... ranging from clothes to tapestries and jewels. The patterns are also quite challenging for lace makers who like spiders, as they include numerous special examples.

Each pattern is accompanied by a clear working diagram in colour, with an occasional additional detail drawing, the pricking (also in colour) and a beautiful photo of the finished lace. In short, a Torchon lace book which should not be absent from the shelves of any lace library.
