Mathematics brings back memories of poor school results for some people. Others are fascinated by mathematics. Whichever group you belong to, this afternoon will, no doubt, widen your view of mathematics and art. Animated by her fascination with mathematics, the speaker will take us on an exciting voyage of discovery of the links between mathematics and art. This is especially interesting to anyone who is involved in design and making contemporary lace!
Claudine Lybaert studied mathematics at the University of Ghent. She spent three quarters of her career as a professor of mathematics.
