the Kantcentrum will organise a lace workshop to give insight into the art of Raveel and the various possibilities offered for lace design. After a short biography and analysis of the visual elements, we will set to work ourselves and will gradually make a very personal creation. The design will be guided by Martine Bruggeman. The construction of small works of art is approached in a very structured way, with enough space for individual interpretation. No prior artistic knowledge is needed. Detailed documentation will be available. An original, small work of lace art in a fresh, modern form is guaranteed.
Of course, participation in this workshop is not a requirement for taking part in the competition but it can provide added value.
